The Holy Monastery is a small, old monastery that functioned as a male monastery. Its katholikon (main church) is dedicated to the Dormition of the Theotokos, whose feast is celebrated on August 15. It stands out for its impressive entrance and its exterior decoration, featuring many glazed tiles, which are round ceramic elements. Surrounding the katholikon are the monks’ cells and various auxiliary spaces. Some of the buildings are newer, while the older ones are located at the higher levels of the complex.
